Linear-Cavity Mode-Locked Fiber Laser Based on Semiconductor Optical Amplifier

Abstract

A SOA-based linear cavity mode-locked fiber laser is proposed with an external pulse sequence in this paper. 4.8 ps pulse sequence at 10 GHz is achieved successfully with time jitter about 60 fs in a simple configuration.
